At about 6 months
Saat keenan berusia 4 bulan,saya sudah mulai mencari informasi mengenai tahapan Makanan Pendamping ASI yang akan saya berikan saat keenan berusia 6 bulan. Teman-teman saya yang sudah berpengalaman banyak yang merekomendasikan tepung beras dan semacamnya untuk diberikan pertama pada bayi,tapi di tempat saya tinggal saat ini yaitu Melbourne susah untuk mendapatkan tepung-tepungan tersebut. Malah gak ada kayanya. Tapi disini saya membaca bahwa kita dapat memberikan rice cereals untuk first time meal..
Well finally that moment come,yeaayy keenan pas 6 bulan,saya heboh bangun lebih earlier dan siapin makanan dia...sesuai janji pada post sebelumnya saya mau post tips2 dan recipes yang saya dapatkan during the days keenan semakin besar.
Beberapa hal yang saya dapatkan dari membaca atau browsing :
- Beberapa ahli gizi merekomendasikan agar sayuran diperkenalkan sebelum buah, karena buah yang rasanya manis akan membuat sayuran yang rasanya kurang manis menjadi tidak menarik untuk bayi.
- Mulailah dengan sayuran yang rasanya hambar seperti kentang, kacang hijau, labu, zucchini, baru kemudian perkenalkan buah seperti pisang, alpukat, apel, pir, blewah, timun suri.
- Berikan makanan tanpa tambahan gula atau garam. Bayi tidak membutuhkan tambahan gula atau garam. Menambahkan bahan-bahan tersebut tidak akan memperbaiki nilai nutrisi dari makanannya .Pemberian garam (yang mengandum sodium) terlalu dini kepada bayi bisa menyebabkan kerusakan pada ginjal. Selain itu kebisaan makan banyak mengandung garap bisa menyebabkan hipertensi
- Penyajian makanan sebaiknya terpisah antara cerealia, sayur, dan lauk.. supaya anak tidak eneg dengan makanan yang dicampur baur dan anak/bayi bisa lebih mengenal rasa asli makanan.
- Sebagai awalan kenalkan satu persatu jenis makanan baik sayur maupun protein.
- Idealnya dengan cara dikukus supaya kandungan gizinya tidak banyak yg ilang.
- Jadi satu jenis lauk atau sayur dikukus kemudian diblender atau disaring (sebaiknya sih disaring saja supaya tidak terlalu halus sehingga sekaligus melatih anak untuk menggerakan rahangnya sekaligus merangsang otot wicaranya.
Step2 nya adalah ;
Day 1-7 : cereals / tepung2an (masih encer),pada hari2 pertama mpasi,perkenalkan makanan dengan suasana yang menyenangkan,sambil nyanyi dan kalau mau,si anak dikasih aja sendok akan juga biar dia juga excited masukkin makanannya..jangan sedih kalau anak masi makan 2 – 3 sendok saat itu,jangan menyerah besok dicoba lagi. Untuk mengetahui anak allergy pada makanan tertentu,kita harus menerapkan 4 days wait rule,jadi berikan 1 jenis makanan selama 4 hari berturut2,kalau tidak ada reaksi allergy apa2 berarti makanan tersebut lulus. Kalau ibu2 gak terlalu sibuk,jangan lupa mencatat makanan2 apa saja yang sudah diberikan sehingga jika terjadi reaksi allergy kita bisa tahu.
Day 8-dst : cereals / tepung2an (masih encer agak kental),pada minggu2 ini si anak sudah boleh dikasih 2 x meals per day. Misalnya karbohidrat untuk b’fast ,jam 8-9 pagi dan buah /sayur di sore hari,jam 4 sore.
6-7 bulan
Yang diberikan :
• ASI/ASI perahan PLUS
• SEREALIA: beras putih, beras merah, havermuth, kentang, kacang hijau
• SAYURAN: labu parang, ubi jalar, kentang, kacang hijau, labu, zucchini, wortel
• BUAH: pisang, alpukat, apel, pear
· Tipe:
1 jenis makanan sebagai awalan.
Semi cair (dihaluskan atau dibuat puree)
Dimasak (kecuali buah tertentu, spt alpukat, dan pisang)
· Frekuensi:
Pada minggu2 pertama sebaiknya diberikan satu kali sehari
Makan besar: 1-2 kali per hari
Cemilan: 1 kali per hari
ASI: kapan saja bila diminta atau formula umumnya setiap 3-4 jam
· Porsi:
Makanan: 1-2 ujung sendok teh pada awalnya,
bertahap tingkatkan sesuai bertambahnya usia dan minat bayi.
7-8 bulan – MAKANAN SEMI PADAT
Yang diberikan:
• ASI/ASI perahan PLUS
• SEREALIA: lanjutkan pemberian beras merah, beras putih dan havermut. Perkenalkan maizena atau jagung
• SAYURAN: asparagus, wortel, bayam, brokoli, sawi,kembang kol, bit, lobak, kol
• BUAH: mangga, pear, peach, blewah, timun suri, jambu biji
• DAGING & MAKANAN YG MENGANDUNG PROTEIN: ayam, sapi, hati ayam, tahu, tempe
• Pada akhir bulan kedelapan bisa dikenalkan produk olahan susu seperti keju chedar atau youghurt khusus bayi
· Tipe:
1-2 macam makanan
Semi padat (haluskan dgn saringan kawat, puree)
Soft finger food (8 bln+)
Dimasak (kecuali buah tertentu, spt alpukat,semangka dan pisang)
· Frekuensi:
Makan besar: 2 kali per hari
Cemilan: 1 kali per hari
ASI: kapan saja bila diminta atau formula umumnya setiap 3-4 jam
· Porsi:
3 sampai 9 sendok makan cereal, untuk 2 sampai 3 kali pemberian makan
1 sendok teh buah, bertahap tingkatkan menjadi 1/4 sampai 1/2 cangkir untuk 2 sampai 3 kali pemberian makan
1 sendok teh sayuran, perlahan ditingkatkan menjadi
1/4 sampai 1/2 cangkir untuk 2 sampai 3 kali pemberian makan.
1 sendok teh makanan sumber protein, perlahan tingkatkan menjadi 2 sdm untuk 2 kali pemberian makan

Fruits for Baby food
Fruits for Baby Food - All You Need to Know About Offering Your Baby Fruits
Avocados a wonderfully healthy fruit. Great as a first food for baby.
Apples "An Apple a Day" as the old saying goes is indeed good for your health. Apples are truly a wonder fruit and are also one on your infants first foods.
Apricots are high in Beta Carotene (Vitamin A), Vitamin C and Lycopene. A wonderful addition to baby's diet.
Bananas are an excellent source of nutrition and as such, are another perfect fruit to be one of baby's first foods.
Blueberries are high in antioxidants and contain fiber, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Offer them around 8 months of age.

Cranberries are full of Vitamin A and are not a knonw allergen. Many babies adore the tartness of this little berry.
Grapes are another fruit packed with Vitamins and even Calcium. Mashed grapes mixed with other foods are great for babies.
Kiwi (chinese gooseberry) is rich in vitamin c, fiber, potassium and even folate.
Mango contains Vitamin K; 6.9 mg of Vitamin K in one cup not to mention all the other nutrients this amazing fruit has.
Papaya is a very nutritious fruit. They contain high amounts of Vitamin C (helping absorb non-heme iron), Vitamin A (2516 IU's.) and even Vitamin E. Papayas are also a good source of fiber and folic acid.
Peaches & Nectarines Did you know that the only difference between peaches and nectarines is the lack of fuzz on the nectarine skin. Peaches are known to have a diuretic affect and also are a natural laxative.
Pears are gentle on the tummy and thus are wonderful for babies who may be suffering from Reflux.
Plums & Prunes One thing that all varieties of plums have in common is that they are very nutritious. Plums are high in fiber, low in cholesterol, sodium free and rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C.
Pumpkin contains some of the best nutritional compounds ever. They are highly loaded with Vitamin A and beta carotene.

Keenan's first trip to the museum..
Hari ini ka vira (kakak sepupu dr suami) ajakin kita untuk melihat museum melbourne di city,karena kita belum pernah jadi kita tertarik juga untuk pergi kesana dan kebetulan masih ada mama disini,sekalian ajak jalan2 lagi. Selain itu,memang cita2 saya ingin membawa anak ke museum sejak masih kecil,untuk memperkenalkan segala macam informasi sejak zaman dulu hingga sekarang.
Sekedar cerita masa lalu,dari saya SD hingga SMU,setiap ada kunjungan ke museum selalu end-up dengan segudang tugas,saya jadi gak enjoyed walhasil jadi males ke museum yang ada di Jakarta,padahal bagus2 lho. Jadi tekad saya,kalau punya anak nanti saya mau ajak dia ke museum sedini mungkin,even dia belum paham sekalipun,pokoknya sebelum masa sekolah. Supaya nanti ketika diajak ke museum,dia uda lebih mengerti dan gak bosan dengan tugas2 yang diberikan. Saya ingin sekali kunjungan ke museum atau situs2 budaya menjadi kunjungan yang menyenangkan bagi anak saya dan keluarga.
Intinya saya sangat menikmati kunjungan kami sekeluarga ke museum hari ini. Thx to ka vira yang sudah memberikan inspirasi untuk kesana hehehe...kalau mau komentar tentang museumnya?waaaaaahhh bagus sekali...saya berandai-andai agar museum2 kita di Jakarta-Indonesia bisa sebagus itu,padahal heritage Indonesia banyaaak sekali,tinggal konsep management dan packagingnya aja yang harus dibenahi. hehehe kalo asal ngomong emang gampang tapi pelaksanaannya yang susaaaah....

this is one of my next recipe to make soon..maybe tommorrow..
my recipe is slightly different than what grace had and due to the high request for the recipes from my friends in twitter & facebook, i decided to share it here.
ingredients:
half a can of condensed milk
2 cups of cold water
jell-o instant vanilla pudding
600ml of heavy cream
nilla wafers banana
cocoa powder
how to make:mix a half can of condensed milk with 2 cups of cold water until it dissolves.
then pour in the instant vanilla pudding into the milk until it thickens.
cover, then chill inside the fridge for at least 4 hours (but i leave it aside overnight)
after the 4 hours is up, i mix the heavy cream until it thickens.
then pour in the vanilla pudding into the cream, and fold it until the texture is smooth and mixed evenly. you can chill it again in the fridge for another 4 hours.
but i'm too lazy to wait for another 4 hours, so i mix the pudding together after i mix the cream and the puddingfirst, i layer the pudding in the bottom of the cup (i used the individual cup or ramekin for better packaging). then layer with banana evenly (the ripe the better), then the nilla wafers. i find that it's best to crumble the wafers first (not too smooth, just break it with ur hand) then put on top of the bananas. later, top it off with another layer of pudding. sprinkle the cocoa powder on top of it.just leave it in the fridge for another 4 hours (at least) until the wafers softens and the pudding has thicken a bit more. voilaa.. you're done!the recipes makes about 10-15 cups, depending on the serving size.

woooowww...terlupakan ini blog !!!

Since 4 weeks ago i posted some story then i really forgot with this place...
karena eh karena ada orang tua ku yg berkunjung kesini,jd sibuk dengan persiapan,penyambutan dan ajak jalan2 selama 3 minggu..trus ketemu lebaran juga..minal aidin wal faidzin deh buat yang baca post ini..
There are so many things happened through the days lately, yang jelas saya bahagia karena orang tua dan adik saya berkumpul di melbourne pada saat lebaran kemarin. 
Yang paling menarik untuk saya ceritakan,as usual about my son,he's growing up so fast, tgl.23 agustus lalu dia genap berusia 6 bulan dan saya sangat excited untuk menyiapkan menu makanan pertamanya dan alhamdulillah karena saya berhasil memberikan ASI eksklusif selama 6 bulan untuk keenan. 
Hasil browsing-an dan diskusi dgn teman2 akhirnya saya memberikan rice cereal untuk keenan di hari pertama dia makan. Saya pikir keenan akan sulit makan dan gak mau,suprisingly...dia juga gak kalah excited sama mamanya hehe...dia seruput sendok yang saya sudah isi dgn rice cereal itu,dia sukaaa dan saya bahagia sekali. Melihat minat makannya yg terus meningkat setiap harinya saya juga meningkatkan porsi makanannya hingga sekarang keenan sudah makan 3 x sehari. Post berikutnya saya akan share tentang step2 MPASI versi saya yahhh,tentunya sudah saya elaborate dengan bahan bacaan dari buku2,majalah,maternal children center,WHO dan sebagainya.
Menyenangkan sekali saat2 saya sudah bisa memberikan mpasi untuk keenan. Smoga dia bisa tumbuh sehat dan pintar dikemudian hari..amiin..
